It is my immense pleasure to share with you that the office of Animal Health and Livestock services Professional Council has been established as a national statutory body of the Government of Nepal, and based in the Veterinary Complex, Kathmandu in the year 2022 to regulate and manage all the animal health and livestock service professionals (other than veterinary doctors) and provide quality service in the field of animal health and livestock development. I would like to mark this by expressing the importance of the working relationship between veterinarians and animal health and livestock service professionals to rise to the expectations of society about animal and human health and livestock in national economics. The control of diseases, the responsible use of medicines and the effective and efficient delivery of livestock services ensure food safety and security for our people and remain part of the most critical responsibilities of veterinarians and animal health and livestock service professionals. This is the first committee member of the Council nominated by the Government of Nepal under the law of Animal Health and Livestock Services Professional Act, 2022. I, together with my fellow council members are aware of, and committed to, our responsibilities and duties as council members to do whatever is in the best interest of the animal health and livestock service professionals. We wish our professionals a fulfilling journey ahead in their professional endeavours. We invite you all to join us, as a prospective professional, stakeholder, international organization or institution.
